April 26, 2019

Greetings from Bernabi!  As April closes out, we all know how quickly the school year will come to an end.  Speaking of which, if you have not already heard, the district recently communicated important information about the end of the school year for students at the elementary, middle and high school levels.  Please see below and mark your calendars accordingly.

- K-5 students: Fri., June 21, will be the last day at our elementary schools.
- Cosgrove students: Tues., June 18, will be the last full day of classes. Finals and Regents exams will occur between June 19-25.
- HS students: Mon., June 17, will be the last full day of classes. Finals and Regents exams will occur between June 18-25.

Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, though, there is a lot happening between now and then, and below is a summary of events taking place over the next two weeks:

- NYS Math assessments, grades 3-5, May 1 and May
- DARE graduation, grade 5, Friday, May 3, 10:00 am
- Kindergarten screening, Wednesday, May 8 and Thursday, May 9
- Dance-a-thon/Sports Night, Friday, May 10, 6:00 pm

Last but not least, teacher appreciation week is right around the corner!  Join me the week of May 6 through May 10 in showing your appreciation for the dedication our Bernabi faculty and staff show for the children of our community.  Kind words mean more to teachers than any gift you could buy, so find a way for you and your children to show Bernabi teachers how much they mean to you!

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
