Mid Summer Update from Bernabi

A midsummer’s greeting from Bernabi where despite being “summer busy,” I miss everyone!  While I always look forward to fall, there is plenty of summer left and I hope everyone is busy making beautiful memories with family and friends.  Speaking of fall, I wanted to send out a few dates so that you can prepare your calendars for the start of the school year:

Summer Mailing: our annual summer mailing with teacher assignments will be leaving the building on Friday, August 16 and should be home to your mailboxes between that Saturday and Tuesday (depending on zip code).  It has become a Bernabi tradition to capture the excitement that comes with this mailing, so please be sure to take some pics and send my way so that I can post to Instagram!

Welcome Back Ice Cream Social and New Student Tours: another annual tradition is scheduled for Wednesday, August 21.  The ice cream social for all students and families begins at 6:00 (Italian Ice will also be available).  Please contact me directly by clicking here if you have additional questions regarding what food will be served or have any food allergy questions.  Thank you to our Bernabi Parents Association for sponsoring this event!  If you are new to Bernabi, our student leaders will be on hand to provide a tour of the building at 5:15 pm so that you can see your new school before enjoying your ice cream in the company of new friends!

Meet and Greet: as always, Bernabi will be open from 2:00 – 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3 (the day before school starts) so that children can meet their teachers, see their classrooms and bring in their school supplies to make the first day that much easier.

Last but not least, I wanted to reiterate that since March, I have been working with a committee comprised of faculty, staff and parents on allergy awareness within the school, and we will be providing an update on our work to all families prior to the start of the school year.  Stay tuned and as always, thank you for your support and partnership.

Enjoy August and here’s to hoping for more summer run-ins with the Bernabi community!  I love when your family gets to see me with my family!

Sincerely,

David Caiazza
