Safety on Flag Day/Field Day/Family Picnic

Greetings parents,
Bernabi’s biggest day of the
year is almost here: this Friday, June 14 is our annual Flag Day/Field
Day/Family Picnic! By now, you should have received a schedule for your
child’s classroom that outlines our various activities for the day. While we are
remaining optimistic, we also have a backup plan if weather gets in our
way. Should that happen, please know that the lunch times we sent home on
your children’s schedules will not be affected, and whether our assembly is
indoors or outdoors, we will kick off either way at 9:30 am!
With a lot of families
expected throughout the day, I would like to ask that we do our best to adhere
to marked parking spaces that run along Bernabi road, in front of our school
and down toward Canal View. In the past, creative parking has become an
issue where access and safety are legitimate concerns, so thank you in advance
for your help!
Perhaps most importantly,
I need your help with student dismissal on this busy day. If you decide
to take your child home with you at the end of the day, it is very important
that you send a note to school tomorrow or Friday morning for each of your
children’s teachers. Rather than signing students out at the greeter’s
desk, this will be a classroom-based procedure and you must see each of your
children’s teachers when leaving for the day. Thank you for your support!
Looking forward to seeing you
all on Friday!
Sincerely,
David Caiazza
Principal
